About the role:
The role of a Bond Warehouse Team Leader involves overseeing the operations of a bonded warehouse, which is a storage facility where goods are stored under customs control until duties are paid
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all team members follow safety and operational procedures.
- Oversee daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Ensure that all activities comply with customs regulations and other legal requirements related to bonded warehouses.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or safety issues.
- Prepare reports on warehouse operations, including inventory levels, stock movements, and compliance issues.
- Coordinate with customs brokers and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth processing of goods.

What You Bring:
- Experience in understanding cargo wise, exporting, importing and customs experience.
- Experience in working with government agencies i.e., MPI, NZ Customs
- Microsoft office / computer literacy
- Excellent customer service and communications skills vis both phone and email
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy data entry
- Ideally worked in a customs support environment
- Forklift license, (Reach and counterbalance) required
- Class 4 truck license will be an Advantage
