QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A College diploma, University degree, or related experience
  • Experience of 2 years minimum in a similar role (experience in the consumer packaged goods industry is an asset)
  • Knowledge and experience using accounting software (Quickbooks experience is strongly preferred)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or G-suite products
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, effective communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on quality
  • A self-motivated, results-oriented, creative problem solver, with the ability to lead through ambiguity

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

This role will form an integral part of our finance team and be responsible for recording transactions in our accounting system, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with financial and compliance-related administration tasks in the businesses.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple companies
  • Data Entry: Enter financial data into accounting software and/or spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and organization
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage invoices and bills, process payments, and follow up on overdue accounts
  • Client and Supplier Management: Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial records and inquiries
  • Financial Reporting: Assist with month, quarter, and year-end closing processes such as reconciliations of bank, credit card, and other accounts to ensure accuracy in monthly statements
  • Ad-hoc Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze internal reports as needed
