Description:
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper/Admin in the construction industry, based in Kennebunkport, Maine, United States. This role involves maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and managing accounts payable and receivable, all within a construction contractor setting.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily reconciliations.
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping duties including recording transactions, investments, and financial activities.
- Utilize QuickBooks for data entry and month-end close processes.
- Handle the processing of timecards for a team of 10 construction workers who are out for the majority of the day.
- Manage the company’s bank reconciliations and ledgers.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and manage payroll and taxes.
- Monitor financial transactions and reports.
- Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers, and partners as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the team as needed.
- Use Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and record keeping.
- Experience in Data Entry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Month End Close
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Previous experience in the Construction/Contractor industry is desirable
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
