Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Payroll Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or payroll clerk.
  • Proficiency in accounting software Sage and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
  • Process payroll accurately and on time, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable.
  • Assist with audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
