Description:

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
Experience in Multi-Residential/Commercial buildings is preferred but not required
Maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
Proficient in using Sage accounting software is considered an asset
Strong knowledge of account reconciliation, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll processes
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Valid drivers license with minimum 3 years and clean abstract considered an asset
Criminal record check

Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and prepare cheques
  • Prepare correspondence and reports
  • Assist with budgeting and financial management tasks
  • Handle accounts receivable/payable and account reconciliation
  • Process payroll and maintain employee records
  • Perform bank reconciliation and manage financial transactions
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • HST filing
  • WCB Filing
  • Preparation of ROE and T4’s
  • Monthly Credit Card balancing
  • Provide administrative support to staff as needed
