Description:
OPERATIONS AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
- Filing and processing staff financial documents
- Helping manage our different systems and SAAS subscriptions
- Identifying areas for financial process improvement
- Managing the Invoicing & sub-contractor processes

Responsibilities:
ROLE DESCRIPTION
DARO is growing and our business operations are growing with us. We are seeking a Bookkeeper who will join our Operations team, and bring a sharp eye to important aspects of our financial operations.
This position plays a key role in the day to day financial processes of the company, supporting payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and expense processing. This position also supports DARO’s executives and management with effective tools, forecasts, reports and support to ensure that the organisation is running effectively, both in terms of our people and our systems. Finally, the Bookkeeper will be responsible for updating financial data & reports.
The Bookkeeper reports directly to DARO’s Chief Operations Officer, offering the opportunity for broad experience across Operations and Finance in a growing company.
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with experience in finance, bookkeeping, and administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the Bookkeeper fall broadly into Bookkeeping & Operations and Administrative Support:
BOOKKEEPING TASKS
- Running payroll
- Assisting Accountants in the production of monthly and yearly closings
- Acting as the point of contact for all invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and collections.
- Processing employee expenses
- Updating data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
- Preparing financial reporting statements for DARO’s Senior Management
- Conducting Short-Term and Long-Term financial forecasting in collaboration with the COO
- Assisting with quarterly and annual tax filings in Canada and the US
- Acting as point of contact for external auditors
- Taking the lead on the management of cashflow and credit card expenses
