  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping procedures and relevant regulations
  • Strong computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Products
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience using Spire Software or equivalent

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Our client, RF Bakery Equipment (www.rfbakery.com) is in the food equipment sales and service business and we are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Office Manager on their behalf. The Bookkeeper/Office Manager will play a key role in supporting all aspects of the business. Reporting directly to management and ownership, the ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the office runs smoothly and efficiently, possess strong bookkeeping skills, provide support to staff and management, be highly organized, proactive, understand sales dynamics, and have exceptional customer relationship skills. Ideally, candidates for this role will have some experience or knowledge in the food services industry.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Full Cycle Accounting for two companies
· Accounts Payable (CDN/USD/AUD/EUR/GBP)
· Accounts Receivable (CDN/USD) including invoices and collection
· EFT Batch Payables
· Wire Transfers
· Customer Account/Credit Management
· Payroll
· Manage Health Benefit billing and implement annual rate updates
· Report on all Federal & Provincial Tax Remittances (GST/HST, PST for BC, MA, SK)
· Prepare and submit Annual T4s and T4 Summary
· Month end closes
· Provide Financial Reports for Owners and External Accountants
· Process Inventory Physical Count as part of Year End
· Compile and provide all requested documentation to External Accountants for Year End filing
