Description:
We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team in Auckland. You will be mainly responsible for maintaining and evaluating records of financial transactions in account books and computerized accounting systems. This is a full time permanent position, working at least 30 hours per week.
REQUIREMENTS:
- We expect the applicants to have at least 3 years relevant work experience or a relevant qualification at level 4 or higher
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa with unlimited work right

Responsibilities:
- Keeping financial records, such as GST, PAYE, Time & Wages records of staff, wages calculation and payment, account payables/receivables, daily incomes and expenses
- Maintaining and balancing accounts using manual and computerised system
- Preparing invoices, purchase orders and bank deposits
- Sending customer invoices and recording payments received
- Processing payroll in an accurate and timely manner
- Reconciling accounts against monthly bank statements
- Monitoring cash flow and lines of credit
- Preparing and producing financial statements, budget and expenditure reports and analyses using account books, ledgers and accounting software packages
- Gathering and organising the relevant data and works closely to make the information accessible to the accountant
- Verifying recorded transactions and reporting irregularities to the owner
- May be required to prepare forms reporting business tax entitlements and obligations such as the amount of goods and services tax paid and collected
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the owner
