Description:
We are on the hunt for a Bookkeeper to join our team in Carlsbad, California. The Bookkeeper will be in charge of maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our organization, ensuring that our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Carry out bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Maintain an organized and streamlined accounting system
- Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions
- Prepare documentation for external auditors
- Conduct regular ledger maintenance
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
- Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
- Interact with customers and manage customer inquiries effectively.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a bookkeeper role or similar
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
- Demonstrated experience in bank reconciliations
- Strong knowledge and understanding of bookkeeping procedures
- Excellent data entry skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in payroll processing and management
- Familiarity with SAP or similar financial management software
- Proficiency in credit card reconciliation, with a focus on identifying and resolving discrepancies
