Description:
We are in search of a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance operations. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity, where you will be expected to maintain our financial records accurately, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Your proficiency in regulatory standards and compliance requirements will contribute significantly to our company’s financial stability.
Responsibilities:
- Establish a system to account for all transactions by defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
- Verify, allocate, and post transactions to maintain subsidiary accounts.
- Reconcile entries to balance subsidiary accounts.
- Prepare a trial balance and reconcile entries to maintain the general ledger.
- Generate financial reports by summarizing account information and trends.
- Uphold bookkeeping laws and regulations, ensuring organizational adherence to these requirements.
- Safeguard the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Accurately process customer credit applications.
- Maintain precise customer credit records.
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action.
- Proficient in Account Reconciliation
- Experienced in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
- Skilled in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
- Proven experience in Bookkeeping
- Capable of performing efficient Data Entry
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in Month End Close activities
- Knowledge of Payroll processes
- Expertise in using QuickBooks software
