Description:

We are in search of a 30-hour a week part-time Bookkeeper to join our team located in Tampa, Florida. This role is based in the industry of property management and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The primary functions of this role include rent collection, property inspection, vendor bill payments, and maintaining financial records.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the process of rent collection from tenants
  • Carry out regular property inspections to ensure proper maintenance
  • Manage the payment of bills from vendors in a timely manner
  • Handle the process of cutting checks for various financial transactions
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Prepare and post journal entries as part of the accounting process
  • Utilize Skyline software for property management tasks (training will be provided if necessary)
  • Manage data entry tasks related to accounting and property management
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable
  • Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of bookkeeping records
  • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
  • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
  • Solid understanding of Bookkeeping principles
  • Strong skills in Data Entry
  • Capability to make Journal Entries
  • Experience in Entering Vendor Invoices
  • Proficiency in using accounting software
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to accounting and taxation.
