Description:
We are offering an employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Bakersfield, California. This role plays a crucial part in our team, providing expert bookkeeping services with a focus on the property management industry. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain records of financial transactions by entering, posting, and verifying transactions.
- Prepare and sustain financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
- Handle and maintain property financial records including rents, expenses, taxes, and insurance.
- Perform bank reconciliations, tracking, and reconciling all payments and receivables.
- Generate accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reports.
- Ensure prompt payment of bills associated with property operations and organized document filing.
- Liaise with property managers to suggest solutions that minimize negative financial impacts and enhance operational efficiency.
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls for the accounting system.
- Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, Bookkeeping, Data Entry, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Payroll, and QuickBooks
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Bookkeeper role or similar
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Knowledge of Bank Reconciliations
- Expertise in Bookkeeping
- Proficiency in Data Entry
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Month End Close procedures
- Knowledge of Payroll processes
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Fluency in Spanish is desirable
