Description:
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Beachwood, Ohio. As a Bookkeeper, you will primarily be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing invoices, managing payroll, and handling banking activities. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our financial activities.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately input invoices into the relevant system.
- Handle bill payments, ensuring automated payments are processed correctly.
- Manual check cutting for a small number of bills.
- Execute payroll checks, while not directly processing the payroll.
- Serve as a backup to answer phones and set up appointments.
- Handle banking activities which includes making physical visits to the bank for check and cash deposits.
- Generate two weekly reports, utilizing the established system.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Use QuickBooks Pro for bookkeeping and account reconciliation.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry and other tasks.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, QuickBooks Pro, and QuickBooks Enterprise
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Skilled in account reconciliation, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
- Experience in bank reconciliations
- Strong data entry skills
- Experience in payroll processing and management
- Solid understanding and knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
