Description:

We are offering an opportunity for a meticulous Bookkeeper to be a part of our team located in Washington, District of Columbia, 20011, United States. As a Bookkeeper, the role involves a range of accounting tasks, from handling full cycle accounts payable and receivable processes to managing general accounting duties. You will be working in an environment that demands precision and a high level of interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct the full cycle of accounts payable processes, which includes invoice processing, payment issuance, and vendor account reconciliation
  • Oversee accounts receivable functions, including client invoicing, payment tracking, and resolution of discrepancies
  • Undertake general accounting duties such as posting journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and account reconciliation
  • Regularly audit and review financial records to ensure their accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with closing processes at the end of the month and year, as required
  • Prepare financial reports and statements to provide insights into financial performance
  • Collaborate with internal teams and liaise with external stakeholders to resolve accounting-related issues or inquiries
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate customer credit records
  • Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency
  • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions based on account status.
  • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
  • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
  • Proficient in Data Entry
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to handle Month End Close
  • Knowledge of General Ledger
  • Experience with Journal Entries
  • Proficiency in Ledger Journal Entries
  • Experience with Month-end Journal Entries
  • Ability to handle Monthly Journal Entries
