Job Description
This position is at the Middlecreek Area Community YMCA in Beaver Springs, PA. The Branch Executive Director is responsible for managing all aspects of the YMCA including membership, programs, childcare, and finances. There are currently 500 members at the MAC Y, which has a wellness center, strength and conditioning room, two gymnasiums, group exercise & cycling rooms, and a childcare center. The director will follow best practices in all program areas including expanding current services and developing new program services and will provide leadership with the YMCA Annual Campaign.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in recreation management, early childhood development or related field
- All YMCA staff must have, or be in the process of obtaining, CPR/AED and First Aid certification, and Child Abuse Prevention Training.
Essential Functions
- Acts as a liaison between MAC Y Board of Directors, Board of Directors Committees, and departments within the MAC Y, and is an ex-officio member of all committees.
- Prepares and administers overall MAC Y budget for the fiscal year.
- Provides scheduling of facilities and personnel where applicable.
- Hires, supervises, and directs all employees at the MAC Y.
- Plans and controls new program thrusts for the advancement of the organization.
- Supervises and assists in annual event planning.
- Responsible for overall member services.
- Ensures building is clean and operational.
- Responsible for public relations for the MAC Y.
- Responsible for Board of Directors development.
- Conducts the Annual Campaign, including the Raise the Region Campaign, and oversees fundraising activities allocated to the Program, Membership, and Childcare Directors.
- Ensures staff are provided with training opportunities.
- Reviews and evaluates all programs at the Branch.
- Oversees and provides strategic direction of all programs or coordinators of programs.
- Participate in community events to represent and promote the MAC Y.
