We are looking for a Branch Executive (Regional Distribution Director) who will work with key brokers to represent the Global Risk Solutions (GRS) brand and all business segments within, including National Insurance and North America Specialty, for Metro New York and New Jersey. Additionally, they will partner with internal leadership from all segments across GRS to foster communication and partnership in how GRS approaches the market and drives ease of doing business for broker partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant Insurance Industry experience
  • Strong understanding of P&C and Specialty insurance products
  • Proven business development/sales skills
  • Ability to manage through influence and foster trusted relationships
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively on a team
  • Underwriting experience preferred
  • Undergraduate degree preferre

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Agile development methodologies as typically acquired through a Bachelors’ degree in relevant field (business, computer science, etc.) and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in business, engineering, technology and/or consulting. Master’s degree preferred.
  • High level of proven business expertise needed to set clear priorities for product and understand business value impacts.
  • Technical proficiency required to oversee quarterly & sprint planning and to have an informed, independent voice.
  • Strong influencing skills to be seen as the decision maker when interfacing with business, and willingness to dissent with both teams and business.
  • Ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders through strong leadership skills
  • Ability to coach and inspire both direct reports and matrix teams.
  • Comfortable with making decisions with some level of uncertainty in a fast-paced working environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to convey information clearly and concisel

Responsibilities:

  • Clearly understand both the underwriting appetite and business strategy of all facets of GRS and articulate and support in the marketplace
  • Foster mutually beneficial relationships with grow and core brokers in your assigned region and drive profitable growth
  • Lead all aspects of development for broker facing/client facing marketing communication plans, including communications and events
  • Structure and lead cross sell initiatives that align with regional growth plans and market opportunities
  • Prospect and develop new broker relationships identifying new areas of opportunity
  • Align with overall GRS strategy, work with peers, business and Regional Distribution Executive to develop strategies that support GWP, new business, submission and retention targets
  • Drive collaboration internally, encouraging an environment focused on shared GRS success
  • Maintain close relations with business leaders and underwriting org, keeping communication channels clear to ensure alignment and keep executive management informed of areas of concern and/or opportunity
