SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Substantial experience managing a general freight operation
- Significant experience managing a large number of people
- Sound knowledge of required road networks, locations, Cor, load restraint, statutory and regulatory requirements
- The ability to think strategically, analytically and outside of the box
- Suitable computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Suite
- Proven planning and project management skills
- Advanced financial and budgeting skills individual
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all operations in Kalgoorlie and strategically plan to provide efficient and full utilisation across staff and assets to support all client base
- Monitor customer expectations and satisfaction levels and address any issues as they arise
- Pursue and receive enquiries and transport requests from customers and provide quotations within required timeframes
- Ensure all daily tasks are completed such as but not limited to TMS reports, trip allocation, FMS, data entry
- Establish and manage relationships with business partners, key customers, potential customers, suppliers and sub-contractors
- Ensure decisions are made with strong acumen and in line with budgetary guidelines and ensuring solid results through P/L
- Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to safety, safety leadership and provide a safe working environment
