Fuels Branch Manager – Spotswood - VIC
The Role -
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fuels Branch Manager in Spotswood VIC. The Branch Manager is responsible to manage all operational work across the accountable contracts, enabling the execution of the contractual obligations and KPIs through effective safety leadership, cost management and resource allocation.
This is a role where leadership, customer excellence and operational efficiency all come together, and you will need to drive high standards whilst ensuring the site is being run safely and efficiently.
You will have team of blue-collar workers who will be direct reports with involvement in the management of the white collar workforce.
With up to 120 drivers’ , you will have demonstrable experience managing operations, leading people, being the customer touch point, running P&L and cost management reviews and always leading from the front with a safety obsessed focus.

Primary Responsibilities and Decisions -

  • Maintain a safe work environment and safe work systems and procedures with a focus on the attainment of Safe and Incident Free.
  • Ensure the business meets statutory compliance obligations and corporate safety policies.
  • Ensure effective commercial management of the sites operations primarily by maximizing income and cost control.
  • Maintain client relationships making sure to meet or exceed client service expectations for the delivery of products.
  • Ensure operational tasks are completed as per the correct procedure in a safe, efficient and economical manner.
  • Maintain and exceed strong business and customer relationship opportunities for the company in the region.

What you’ll need to succeed –

  • Able to demonstrate extensive management experience in transport, logistics or related industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
  • Proficient computer skills with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • A tertiary qualification in logistics or business-related discipline or equivalent experience (highly desirable).
  • Strong Safety Leadership and establishing process
  • Team Leadership – ability to upskill and mentor staff
