Description:
Since the first branch of General Traffic opened in 1983, our family business has grown to be one of the largest distributors of Vehicle Parts and Tyres in the North and Midlands.
We are recruiting for a Branch Manager to lead our team in Southport.
Responsibilities include:
- To provide continual, profitable growth for the branch
- To communicate, review, coach and motivate staff recognizing achievement and performance
- To address staff issues and maintain high performance standards
- To strengthen relationships with our customers and encourage additional business
- To explore the reasons for customer drift and address them efficiently
- To address any customer issue that affects the branch performance
- To negotiate payment and warranty issues face to face with customers maintaining a favourable outcome for the business and an amicable relationship with the customer
- To take complete responsibility for all operational functions within the branch
- To maximize the sales performance of both the branch and the individuals
- To continually improve every aspect of the branch systems and procedures maximizing efficiency and accuracy
- To ensure excellent standards are maintained in all areas. Particularly branch and vehicle cleanliness and staff PPE and uniform.
- To continually develop and train staff ensuring that you have a selection of multi skilled personnel able to perform different roles.
- To manage casual staff, cover thus maintaining maximum services levels at all times.
- To take responsibility for all Health and Safety and housekeeping considerations within the branch.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be able to demonstrate excellent computer literacy. A prior knowledge of Phocas, MAM, Autocat, Parts Link, Word and Excel would be a distinct advantage.
- Have extensive experience within the motor trade particularly of dealing with customer service issues
- Have an extensive knowledge of our brands and products and be able to discuss the differentiation between brands and quality
- Ideally have worked within a team and progressed to a supervisory level.
- Have experience of working within H&S and HR guidelines.
- Be flexible and understand that a ‘can do’ attitude is the only way to make a success of this role.
Be familiar with sales and profit targets and understand the relationship between gross and net profit and how ultimately they can influence branch success.
44.75 Hours per week
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £31,000.00 per year
