SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 5 years + experience in Line Haul / Heavy Haulage / Oversize Perth / Supply Chain operations and people management
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, other departments, and external stakeholders
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or Business Management / or other relevant discipline, or extensive Perth Industry experience
- Strong leadership abilities to oversee and guide a team of operator, dispatchers, and other personnel
- A deep understanding of regulations, compliance, and safety standards
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), routing software, and other relevant tools
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments and levels to ensure that commercial strategies and tactics are closely aligned with overarching organizational goals.
- Manage and oversee branch level budgetary and operational directions and plans, making day to day decision on the overall operation of the Karratha
- Effectively manage and mentor reporting staff, conducting regular performance reviews to monitor their progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure that drivers comprehensively understand company metrics and productivity targets, providing clear guidance and support to help them meet these standards consistently.
- Take charge of scheduling all equipment for both planned and preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities closely to gather insights that inform strategic business decisions.
- Lead the implementation of operational changes aimed at improving efficiency and productivity within the organization.
