Note: This is a one year contract position with an option for a one year continuance. Salary target for this position is $75,000 per annum. Unfortunately no medical benefits are offered for this position.

Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Bourbon Brand Ambassador to represent Jefferson’s and Rabbit Hole bourbons in Canada (based in Toronto with occasional travel to other provinces). The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for bourbon, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships within the spirits industry. This role focuses on driving brand awareness, customer and consumer education, and supporting marketing and sales team initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Representation:
- Serve as the face of Jefferson’s and Rabbit Hole bourbons, embodying the brands’ values and heritage.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the brands’ histories, production processes, and unique selling points.
- Events and Tastings:
- Plan, coordinate, and host bourbon tastings, dinners, and promotional events at bars, restaurants, and liquor stores.
- Conduct educational seminars for consumers, bartenders, and retail staff to enhance their knowledge and appreciation of Jefferson’s and Rabbit Hole bourbons.
- Sales Support:
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement strategies to increase market share and sales volumes.
- Assist in the creation of promotional materials and sales tools.
- Provide feedback and insights from the field to help shape marketing and sales strategies.
- Relationship Building:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including distributors, retailers, and hospitality partners.
- Act as a point of contact for brand-related inquiries and support.
- Brand Team Support:
- Support the brand team in planning and executing national campaigns and initiatives.
- Coordinate with the brand team to ensure alignment with broader marketing strategies.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Report findings and recommendations to the Senior Brand Manager.
- Social Media and Public Relations:
- Contribute to the brands’ social media presence by creating engaging content, sharing event highlights, and interacting with followers.
- Work with PR agencies to maximize media coverage and brand exposure.
- Training and Development:
- Provide training sessions for sales teams and retail staff to ensure they are well-versed in the brands’ stories and products.
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments to maintain expertise.
- Internal Share of Mind:
- Get internal stakeholders excited and supportive of the brands through continuous activity to win internal brand love.
- Close collaboration with the brand owners, sharing your activity and identifying new opportunities together.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role within the spirits or hospitality industry.
- Education: A degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using social media platforms for brand promotion.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of bourbon, whiskey, and the overall spirits industry.
- Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally across Canada. This role requires you to regularly work evenings and weekends and spend most of your time outside of the office in the field.
- Languages: Fluent in English. French is highly desirable.
