Context
The role of Brand Change and Innovation Project Manager is part of the Brand Change and Innovation Strategy and Pipeline Team.
The Brand Change and Innovation Project Manager has responsibility for partnering with the business and categories to transform and disrupt how we deliver brand change and innovation projects. The role is instrumental in Diageo’s journey to become the most innovative, trusted and most respected consumer goods company in the world.
Working in partnership with the Brand Change and Innovation Leadership Team, categories, global BC&I teams as well as Innovation teams, this role will develop an end to end understanding of the project delivery process. They will seek out transformational process and technology changes that will help us to deliver the triple win of cash, carbon and cost.
The BC&I project manager will partner with key stakeholders across the categories and business to develop and implement best practice that will ensure the business can deliver strategic objectives of enabling growth, drive profitability, digitise supply chain and procurement as well as delivering our spirit of progress society 2030 goals.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsibility to deliver improve and transform projects that will allow the business to deliver on strategic goals
- Develop an end to end understanding of project delivery process
- Proactively seek out transformational process and technology changes that will enhance the delivery of innovation and brand change projects
- Partner with categories, brand change teams globally and demand colleagues to influence and deliver opportunities for future innovations that will push the boundaries of our brands’ potential.
- Future focused to amplify the ambition for the categories.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in relevant Project Management or Technical Field or relevant experience
- Extensive experience in technical, planning, innovation, or manufacturing
- Ability to build strong partner relationships across the business
- Strong work experience within an FMCG company preferred
- Analytical, strong attention detail and ability to understand and develop Key Performance Indicators.
- Good financial and commercial understanding of COGS, GM and our costing process.
- Good interpersonal and influencing skills
- Good at networking to establish excellent relationships at all levels. Approachable and able to provide clear and concise information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with and influence partners throughout the organization.
- Must be a great teammate with proven interpersonal skills.
- Good IT Skills and the capability to build detailed knowledge of our systems.
- Knowledge of automation tools and systems such as power apps, winshuttle and other relevant tools is an advantage
