Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Breast Service based in Singleton Hospital, The successful candidate will be required to support Breast Service pathway
Effectively manage the Breast Service waiting list, support the service in meeting waiting time targets set by Welsh Government.
The post holder is required to communicate and liaise with staff and members of partner organisations, produce work to deadlines whilst ensuring compliance with Health Board policies. This is a key supporting role in the effective running of the admin and clinical team.
Monitor and update the waiting list to ensure that it is validated on a regular basis, ensuring chronological booking in accordance with RTT waiting times. Monitor Breast Surveillance Pathway
Validate every patient to ensure there are no duplicates, check all addresses/ages etc. to ensure they are appropriate for the waiting list.
Identify potential delays and work with Service Co-ordinator to avoid breaches where possible.
Responsible for running, validating and presenting weekly and monthly reports and supporting the service manager to report monthly figures to Welsh Government. Provide statistics/information for Clinical team when required.
Managing, reviewing and updating service databases on a daily basis. Accurately and efficiently to assist in the effective running of the referral and assessment process.
Use appropriate systems to undertake job roles. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate an excellent understanding of WPAS, or be willing to learn the WPAS system, in addition to MS Excel and MS, DMS work.
Ability to communicate effectively with families, service users and other agencies, including answering enquiries and queries via the telephone. Ensure any queries are handled efficiently and in an understanding, helpful and courteous manner. Ability to recognise when to escalate a query or concern ensuring patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
