Brewer (Part Time/Contract)

Do you love beer, sustainable energy and working for a progressive small business? Canada’s 1st Solar Powered Brewery is looking for a brewer on a “Per Batch"/Contract basis (willing to work around schedules for the right person).
This position requires a passion for beer, a creative imagination and an aptitude for developing new brews. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in every step of the brewing process, from developing new recipes to quality control and the bottling process. If you are interested in beer, have an aptitude for chemistry and enjoy problem-solving and a high degree of creativity, then this position is for you.

Responsibilities:

• Creates new and unique beer recipes
• Selects and orders quality ingredients
• Tastes and improves on beer recipes
• Cleans and maintains equipment and organization in the brewery.
• Fosters lasting relationships with suppliers
• Manages resources and inventories
• Work in a team environment.

Brewer Job Requirements:

• Must be of legal drinking age
• Minimum 2 years prior experience in a similar role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Open to unique brewing processes and innovative ideas
• Willing to work on smaller brewing systems
• Open minded to alternative brewing
• Craft brewing certifications are preferred
• Must be creative and perceptive
• Passionate about beer

Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Freelance
Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
