Description:

IMMEDIATE full-time opportunity for a Broadcast Engineer to join the Technology Services team with one of Australia’s leading Broadcast Services organisations.
The role of Broadcast Engineer covers day-to-day support and maintenance of the latest digital, broadcast systems and equipment as well as training and upskilling across IT platform infrastructure, cloud, network and storage technologies in order to develop, upgrade and improve the facility’s capability to deliver broadcast services to its customers.

Typical responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of multi-vendor broadcast systems from studio to playout.
  • Fault finding and investigation of network and server-based issues.
  • Project planning, delivery and configuration of new systems.
  • Prompt technical support.
  • Upkeep of documentation, manuals, and design drawings.

WHAT WE NEED:

We’re looking for an experienced Broadcast Engineer keen to expand their skillset across IT platforms, cloud and IP networking fundamentals.

Working within a supportive team, the Broadcast Engineer will maintain critical on-air broadcast and video streaming equipment and infrastructure, so exposure to similar systems in a contemporary digital TV, streaming or TV broadcasting environment is key.

  • Expertise in broadcast engineering and support.
  • Exposure to Windows and Linux platform support.
  • Exposure to Networking requirements.
  • Experience supporting Broadcast IT infrastructure and workflows
  • Attention to detail and thorough documentation skills.
  • Approachable manner with good communication skills.
