JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our team is growing and we are actively looking to hire a Broker Compensation Strategy Consultant to join our team!
Reporting to the Director of Sales Planning and Compensation, this role will lead the design and delivery of our Broker Compensation program, aligning it with our strategy of paying for profitable growth. This role will bring a systematic, focused and disciplined approach to evaluate and identify areas of sales compensation opportunity, all while contributing to ACG’s strategic, financial and compliance objectives.
This role will work cross functionally with Sales, Finance, Risk, HR, Reporting, and partners in the U.S. team. Strong stakeholder engagement and working relationships will be key to being successful.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Design, develop and implement Broker Compensation strategies that drive increased production and profitability. Review and recommend changes to core components of compensation program (Base Commissions, Profit Share)
- Ensure that compensation programs support the organization’s strategic objectives and meets legal requirements
- Build strong working relationships with Sales, HR, Risk and Finance departments
- Continually monitor current and historical payment trends (internal and external) and keep abreast of the competitive landscape. Report findings and future outlook/projections to Senior Management
- Assess capabilities and implement changes to compensational technology
- Develop recommendations and assist with preparation of business cases
- Recommend and build out Compensation growth tactics meant to increase revenues and grow market share
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education or equivalent working experience: Post-Secondary Education
- Experience: Minimum 4 years working in an analytical capacity
- Demonstrated ability to work across organizational departments and develop strong relationships across the company
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
- Must be able to analyze complex data with high accuracy, be open minded towards change, anticipate client needs and work with others to identify and resolve issues
- Must be able to coordinate various priorities under time pressure and ensure alignment to corporate objectives
- Strong communication (written and verbal), collaboration and relationship-building skills
- Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel and Access
BONUS QUALIFICATION:
- Insurance industry experience is an asset
- CIP/FCIP/CRM (Certified Risk Manager) is preferred
