About the role - Permanent, full-time
As the Broker Lending Manager, you will lead a dedicated team of Broker Lending Specialists who engage directly with our broker partners to deliver our residential lending products nationally. You will ensure service level agreements are met and that the lending process meets compliance and risk expectations within risk parameters. Supporting our specialists who oversee the broker originated loans from end to end, you will be a key escalation point where you will lean on your strong lending and credit decisioning skills. This is an exciting time for People First Bank, and in this role, you will be pivotal in you will supporting your team through a time of transition and be a champion of change.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implement best practice broker support strategies that promote strong advocacy and usage of People First Bank home loans.
- Drive performance across the team to meet all balanced scorecard measures across agreed financial, risk, people and member objectives.
- Support the Head of Broker Lending to drive the Broker Strategy to achieve efficiency in broker support functions and growth objectives.
- Ensure broker engagement for escalated matters including file management and overseeing credit assessment escalations.
- Provide leadership, guidance, coaching and support the broker support team through effective succession planning - creating a culture of where people want to join and stay.
This role is based at our Eagle Street (Brisbane) office.
ABOUT YOU
First and foremost, you are a true people leader who champions those around you to be their best and provide their best for our brokers in our customer-centric environment. We are seeking a leader well-versed in change management who knows how to support staff through these times with coaching and encouragement. As the escalation point for the team, we are seeking proven recent experience within home lending, and credit decisioning. Ideally you would have worked within a broker environment yourself, or in a customer facing role that places you in the best position to deliver top notice service, and work towards placing People First Bank as the premier lender of choice for all Australians.
