Description:

We are inviting applications for the role of a BSA & Compliance Officer, based in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. This role is in the financial services industry and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The BSA & Compliance Officer will oversee the implementation of the credit union’s BSA/AML Compliance Program and the OFAC Program.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison for software vendors, regulatory authorities, and law enforcement agencies.
  • Oversee the execution of audits and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Manage risk assessments and maintain updated policies and procedures.
  • Lead the BSA team and foster a culture of compliance across the organization.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and legal changes, and integrate current BSA/AML initiatives.
  • Supervise the provision of necessary BSA/AML/OFAC training to new hires, existing employees, and board directors.
  • Handle and resolve customer inquiries effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate customer credit records and monitor customer accounts.
  • Process customer credit applications with precision and speed.
  • Conduct fraud investigations and implement necessary preventive measures.
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field
  • Advanced knowledge of Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
  • Proficiency in auditing and complaint handling
  • Strong understanding of compliance and compliance management
  • CAMS certification is required
  • Experience in fraud investigation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Must have a strong ethical standpoint and integrity
  • Understanding of federal and state regulations in the financial industry is a plus
  • Must be proactive and have a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
