Description:
We are inviting applications for the role of a BSA & Compliance Officer, based in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. This role is in the financial services industry and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The BSA & Compliance Officer will oversee the implementation of the credit union’s BSA/AML Compliance Program and the OFAC Program.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison for software vendors, regulatory authorities, and law enforcement agencies.
- Oversee the execution of audits and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Manage risk assessments and maintain updated policies and procedures.
- Lead the BSA team and foster a culture of compliance across the organization.
- Stay updated with industry trends and legal changes, and integrate current BSA/AML initiatives.
- Supervise the provision of necessary BSA/AML/OFAC training to new hires, existing employees, and board directors.
- Handle and resolve customer inquiries effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate customer credit records and monitor customer accounts.
- Process customer credit applications with precision and speed.
- Conduct fraud investigations and implement necessary preventive measures.
- Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field
- Advanced knowledge of Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
- Proficiency in auditing and complaint handling
- Strong understanding of compliance and compliance management
- CAMS certification is required
- Experience in fraud investigation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced analytical skills
- Must have a strong ethical standpoint and integrity
- Understanding of federal and state regulations in the financial industry is a plus
- Must be proactive and have a keen eye for detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
