JOB SUMMARY

The Budget Management Coordinator is instrumental in maximizing budgeting and spending efficiency for various marketing teams. In addition to supporting the Budget Manager, they will be involved in coordinating budget preparation, monitor expenditures, ensuring the organization or program stays within its financial limits, and analyzing financial data to provide insights for better financial decision-making.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years in a similar role
  • Understanding of budgeting and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent MS Excel skills
  • Independent worker with excellent mathematical ability and an analytical mind
  • Must have effective communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
  • Strong presence with the ability to interact with Senior Leadership
  • Attention to detail and good organization skills is a must

Responsibilities:

  • Review proposed budget submissions for accuracy, completeness and acting as an advisor to department managers in formulating their budget submissions.
  • Prepare and present financial overviews to management, detailing budget performance, trends and potential risks.
  • Identify areas for cost savings and implement measures to improve financial efficiency.
  • Ensure that budget practices adhere to organizational policies.
  • Track and analyze actual results against historical, budgeted and forecasted results.
  • Review Statements of Work for accuracy and create POs. Track corresponding invoices and research payment info as required.
  • Partner with Global Sourcing, Finance, Legal and other internal teams on supplier spend review, process updates and other areas as needed.
  • Participate in tool development/updates for budget tracking, PO requests, etc.
