Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Manufacturing Technician I- Buffers and Media to join our world-class team in St. Louis. As a Manufacturing Technician I, you will play a pivotal role in the manufacture of Commercial and Clinical Biologics by adhering to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and performing a variety of tasks related to Buffer and Media manufacturing. REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of HS Diploma/ GED, 0-4 years’ experience required based on education
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in manufacturing and/or GMP environment preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of cGMP practices, aseptic techniques, or chemical concepts preferred
SKILLS:
- Strong math skills
- Attention to detail
- Passionate about achieving desired outcomes
- Proficient in MS Office
ABILITIES:
- Able to read, write, and communicate in English
- Able to understand and carry out instructions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to wear a full gowning suit, including bodysuit, gloves, hair & beard nets, face covers, and safety glasses. (Prohibited items: makeup, jewelry, nail polish, cologne / perfume, scented lotions or hair care products, etc.)
- Ability to adhere to cleanroom gowning requirements, including wearing Tyvek, Nitrile, and/or Latex gloves
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs independently
- Ability to stand for 80% of the shift
