The ideal candidate will play a key role in automating and optimizing our software build and deployment processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all applications. As a Software Build Engineer, you will design, modify, develop, write, and implement build automation for software repositories to ensure consistent and efficient build/deployment packages for all applications. Your primary responsibilities will include creating and maintaining standard pipelines for building applications, running unit tests, generating a software bill of materials (SBOM), conducting security scans, and ensuring builds contain all necessary files for production deployment.
EDUCATION:

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain build automation pipelines for software repositories to ensure consistent build and deployment packages.
- Automate the build process for .NET and JavaScript applications using Azure DevOps pipelines, GitHub Actions, and other tools.
- Ensure build processes include proper handling of .dll files and manifest.json with the correct build numbers.
- Execute and publish unit test results within the build pipeline.
- Generate and publish software bill of materials (SBOM) for each build.
- Perform Fortify security scans as part of the build process and publish the results to the Software Security Center (SSC) server.
- Integrate SonarQube for static code analysis in the build pipeline and publish the results.
- Verify the inclusion of all necessary files for production deployments in the build.
- Publish .zip files of the build and ensure the proper hash of the .zip file is generated and stored.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and resolve build and deployment issues.
- Support enterprise software configuration management by tracking new major version release dates and published deprecation dates of open source and commercial off-the-shelf (OSS/COTS) software components.
