MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Completed Advanced Diploma or higher in Building Industry accredited course and actively working towards industry registration.
- Demonstrated experience in Building Legislation understanding and ability to navigate legislation to find required information.
- Strong technical administration skills (case related document management), attention to detail and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Self-directed and able to handle high volume, complex and potentially emotionally charged cases.
- Current Victorian driver’s license.
- You have the Right to live and work in Australia.
- A current WWCC.
- Police Check results that are suitable for this position (will be arranged by Surf Coast Shire Council). A complete international criminal history check is required if the person has worked or lived overseas for any period of time OR a complete national criminal history check is required if the person has only ever worked in Australia.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Working knowledge of GPS/Mapping software.
- Working knowledge of Swimming Pool legislation, administration and enforcement options.
- Working knowledge of Report and Consent guidance.
- Strong understanding of POPE legislation and comfortable with internal and external stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be comfortable working under the direction of registered professionals, be self-directed and able to handle high volume, complex and potentially emotionally charged cases. You will be comfortable organising stakeholder communications - both written and in person. You will be comfortable being accountable and transparent in your activities - regularly reporting on the status of your work.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Made your own independent arrangements to continue obtaining the inspections required for registration.
- Have excellent administration skills, written and verbal communication, and attention to detail
- Be open to learn
- Be a strong team player.
