Responsibilities:

As a Bulk Explosives Technician, your primary responsibilities include ensuring a safe and effective level of service to meet customer needs, troubleshooting and maintaining all types of underground equipment, and supporting the ongoing general operations of the site. Other duties will include:

  • Safely operate and maintain loading and delivery equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures, and in a manner that protects company assets and ensures their dependability.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment when not in proper working condition.
  • Work independently, traveling between multiple mine sites on an 8/6 schedule (overtime and some overnight runs along with weekend work may be required on occasion).
  • Contribute to the establishment of strong positive relations between the Company and customers.
  • Respond readily and in a manner that reinforces the reputation of the Company as a supplier with the highest standards of product quality and customer service.
  • Have a full understanding of documentation required for completing all job tasks related to explosive delivery systems.
  • Accurately and fully complete all required documentation and reports within time requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
  • Guarantee that a safe working environment is maintained in compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrate initiative and embrace the Company’s standards for safety and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in safety meetings, read safety documents (safety alerts, emergency plans, etc.) and report all accidents, incidents, and precautionary concerns.
  • Respect and support fellow employees.
  • Attend specified training & development, and maintain required certifications.
