Description:
Wellington College is one of the world’s leading co-educational boarding and day schools located in rural Berkshire and set in a stunning 400-acre campus. It is home to a blend of breathtaking original architecture combined with modern state-of-the-art facilities all designed to provide the best possible educational environment for our 1100 day and boarding pupils.
As a College, and as a progressive employer, we recognise the value in developing our staff and have therefore created two new apprenticeship opportunities one within our International Office and one within our Human Resources department.
Both roles are designed to provide on the job training and real work experience whilst allowing continuous study towards vocational qualifications. The on-the-job activities in each role will be varied but also progressive as you will seek to learn all the associated skills required within a busy office environment whilst also developing some specialist knowledge in the areas of Marketing or HR.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Wellington College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
We reserve the right to interview suitable candidates before the closing date or to close the vacancy prior to closing date if deemed appropriate. You are advised to submit your application as early as possible to avoid missing your chance to apply.
We are an equal opportunities employer and are seeking applications from suitable candidates from all backgrounds.
