Description:
DESCRIPTION
The Faculty of Science, Business and Enterprise is seeking to appoint a Business Administration Officer. The key duties and responsibilities of the role include:
To support the Faculty Business Manager and Business Administration Coordinator with
- activity relating to data reporting and analysis, project planning and management, commercial funding bids and strategic planning;
- to administer processes for finance and budget control, human resources, project planning and management, data, commercial funding bids, access and participation and strategic planning;
- to answer queries from colleagues across the Faculty and wider university relating to Business World functions, procurement, suppliers, Visiting Lecturers (VL) and Learning Facilitators (LF) contracts, pay claims, purchasing card transactions and invoices;
- the implementation and administration of enhanced processes, procedures and use of student data within the Faculty and across the university;
- to support the Business Administration Coordinator to ensure that policies, procedures and processes are consistently applied.
You will have a good standard of education with at least A Levels or equivalent, and substantial experience of working within an administrative role, and supporting and minuting meetings. You will also have a good understanding of financial and budgeting processes, and experience of supporting Finance and HR processes. This demanding role requires ICT proficiency, good communication skills and the ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
