We are looking for an energetic and talented Business Affairs Assistant to be based out of Toronto, Ontario for a hybrid work from home/in office position to cover a one-year maternity leave.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Business Affairs Manager, the Business Affairs Assistant will be responsible for overseeing and administering various production-related business affairs activities for a dedicated slate of television movie productions. This person will be an integral team member of the Business Affairs department.
Main Responsibilities:
Main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Support the Business Affairs team with a robust slate of television movie productions.
- Prepare Business Affairs deliverables (start packs, open bank accounts, credits, collect wrap documents, update spreadsheets).
- Register all projects for copyright.
- Track and communicate regarding delivery milestones and schedules, etc.
- Follow and contribute toward improving “best practices”, as well as creative problem solving and troubleshooting on day-to-day business affairs-production matters.
Liaise with and maintain proactive communication with all other departments (production, finance, distribution, post-production) on various business affairs issues and provide general business affairs support.
