Description:

DESCRIPTION:

  • Leads business analysis efforts for systems utilizing Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions in Identity and Access Management, such as Okta, to assess clients’ business challenges and opportunities related to identity and access management.
  • Facilitates sessions within the Identity and Access Management domain with SaaS vendors and technology teams to evaluate the feasibility of leveraging and customizing SaaS features to meet specific business requirements.
  • Documents business requirements in a manner that enables I&IT solutions to be determined and implemented by SaaS vendors.
  • Supports the adoption of Public Secure and the onboarding of Program Areas.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation and support materials for Program Areas to integrate with identity providers like Okta. This documentation includes user flow guides, How-To-Videos, and integration best practices aimed at streamlining the onboarding process for Program Areas to Public Secure.
  • Applies re-engineering concepts to drive business improvements and SaaS customizations through innovative and cost-effective service delivery approaches.
  • Collaborates with technology teams to develop usability forecast models by analyzing historical usage trends against various identity and access management use cases.
  • Leads and conducts business analysis activities at various levels of detail with technology, cybersecurity, and privacy teams as required, based on the nature of the identity and access management deliverable.
  • Designs robust processes for requirements gathering, including Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, interviews, and mock-ups.
  • Performs business modeling, use case modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, process and data flow modeling, use case surveys, business rules definition, and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects.
  • Monitors progress, resolves issues, and provides regular updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Develops performance measures and traceability matrices for evaluating business analysis efforts and conducts follow-up activities.
  • Provides project updates to the Project Manager, identifies project issues and risks, and escalates them to the project manager when necessary.
  • Collaborates closely with the Product Owner, Project Manager, and Systems Analysts to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Facilitates design discussions and issue resolution with client groups.
  • Supports testers by clarifying requirements and validating test scenarios and cases.

    Experience and Skill Set Requirements
  • Business and Functional Requirements Gathering and Documentation (30%)
    1.1. Ability to document business and data requirements into specifications sufficient for designing appropriate technology solutions.
    1.2. Experience with a wide range of methods, tools and techniques for business analysis such as: business functional modelling, business event modelling, business process mapping.
    1.3. Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards.
    1.4. Ability to provide a comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services for clients with diverse business and technological needs.
    1.5. Interact with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their requirements through gathering, documenting, and analyzing business needs and requirements.
    1.6. 10+ years experience in a business analyst capacity participating in various stages of the project lifecycle.
    1.7. Experience conducting requirements gathering workshops and developing documentation.
    1.8. Demonstrated experience with creating Business Cases, Screen Design/User Interface, Business Process Model Flows, and Logical architecture artifacts, among other deliverables.
    1.9. Experience identifying and documenting testing plans, schedules and cases. Supporting testing resources and clarifying expected outcomes.

    3.3. Lead and facilitate discussions with vendors, client ministries, other project team members and management.
    3.4. Experience creating presentations and presenting to executive steering committees responsible for project oversight and decision-making.
