Description:
DESCRIPTION:
- Leads the elicitation, elaboration, analysis and validation of business requirements and data needs
- Plans and facilitates workshops to gather requirements and create user stories
- Provide support during the design, implementation and testing phases of the project
- Supports the product manager and product owner to refine and groom the product backlog
- Analyze business requirements to identify solution options or improvements
- Works with the developers to align business requirements with solution capabilities
- Report progress on deliverables on a regular basis at stand-ups, and other team meetings as required
- Proactively raise risks/issues and propose mitigation strategies
- Conduct feasibility analysis, scoping and provide work estimates on user stories
- Conduct Joint Requirements Planning and Joint Application Design sessions
- Analyze and map processes / data for current state and future state
- Review and provide feedback of technical design documents
- Conducts product walkthroughs / demonstrations at the end of each sprint cycle
- Facilitate and produce Sprint artefacts as required
Knowledge Transfer Requirements
- Knowledge transfer is expected to occur throughout the duration of the assignment through regular meetings, touchpoints, and working sessions with LRC staff
- All design, development, artefacts, and source code, including all relevant and complete documents must be transferred to the ministry in the designated repositories provided
- Dedicated knowledge transfer sessions will be scheduled to ensure completeness of knowledge transfer and all documentation is shared, and allow LRC staff to ask clarification and/or follow up questions
Skills
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
- Experience working in agile / iterative delivery teams
- Proven experience with all stages of system implementation for complex large scale applications
- Proven experience facilitation of client meetings/workshops, interpretation of business needs to technical requirements
- Experience creating and documenting detailed user stories
- Experience working with Public Sector applications, databases and systems; using COTS products such as Oracle Siebel
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Experience conducting feasibility analysis, scoping and providing project work estimates
- Experience with requirements development involving requirements elicitation, analysis, specification and validation
- Experience planning and managing product backlog, planning and managing sprints, and implementing in an iterative manner
- Demonstrated experience facilitating product demonstrations and/or sprint reviews
- Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and negotiation skills to work seamlessly in an agile cross-functional team, with clients, vendor(s) and other stakeholders.

- Knowledge and experience with supporting Public Sector Digital First strategies; experience with working with Digital Service standards including formal submissions for assessments as per official digital standards established
- Creative, analytical approach and strong understanding of interaction design principles, including ability and experience to deliver mock-ups using advanced tools
- Able to resolve issues in a timely manner, provide options and recommendations.
