The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Director, CFO Innovation, Projects and Systems (IPS), the Business Analyst Analytics and Projects will act as strategic partner within the CFO organization supporting strategic initiatives and projects through the design and implementation of reporting, analytics and system solutions. Internal clients include but not limited to Finance, Corporate and Strategy Development, Treasury, Investor Relations, Counterparty Risk, Insurance Risk, Trading, Evaluations, and Corporate Planning.
The ideal candidate will proactively drive business insights, optimize processes, and deliver high-impact solutions that align with TC’s organization’s objectives.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with business partners to translate their business needs into product requirements and solutions, serving as business liaison between product team and stakeholders
  • Participate in business process and system design session, driving effective decision-making and progress on projects, evaluating multiple feasibility options as necessary.
  • Lead small product development team, including work prioritization, risk management and quality assurance throughout development
  • Collect, compile, normalize and analyze data - presenting information in accordance with the requirements applicable to the audience
  • Analyze business processes to improve operational effectiveness, including developing and maintaining reports, dashboards and automation solutions to provide real-time insights
  • Lead change management activities - stakeholder engagement, training development, and delivery, including presentations to Senior Leaders, to ensure smooth transition.
  • Support various projects, assessing organizational readiness for changes in business processes and identifying appropriate implementation strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma from a recognized institution
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including analytics and RPA tools (Power BI, Power Automate and Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Designation or working towards a designation in Data Science, Project Management, Business Analysis, Accounting, or an MBA.
  • Knowledge of finance and related disciplines is an asset
  • Experience with TC’s financial systems (SAP, BPC, Anaplan), data modeling, and agile project methodologies
  • Knowledge of S4/Hana, AWS Athena architecture and SQL
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and statistical modeling skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability lead and influence others
