  • A tertiary qualification at Degree level in an appropriate discipline
  • Good understanding and ability to apply a Business Process Management framework
  • Strong skills in Business Analysis and Business Process Reengineering
  • Good leadership and facilitation skills for establishing requirements and business improvements
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyse business processes and workflows
  • Experience developing business process improvements
  • Experience developing clear documentation to a high standard, including procedural documentation
  • High level of competence with MS Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Outlook
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple work streams
  • Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of the organisation
  • High levels of personal initiative and resilience and in particular the ability to manage the pressures of competing demands.
  • Empathy of, or experience in a tertiary education environment
  • An understanding of the Privacy Act and the need to maintain appropriate confidentiality

Responsibilities:

Your role at Ara as Business Analyst will consist of, as part of a team, supporting the delivery of major transformation projects, supporting business continuity and process improvements, and identifying process improvements and ensuring the delivery of effective business solutions. Key tasks will include providing sound, thorough, accurate and complete business analysis for projects. As part of the Planning function, this role will involve engagement with a diverse range of projects both in terms of size and type.

Projects currently underway or being initiated are in the areas of Online Enrolments, Adaptive Learning, Teaching & Support, Work Integrated Learning Management (CRM), Educational Delivery Practices, Digital Engagement Capabilities, Student Retention & Achievement and projects arising from the delivery of Vision 2030.
