Description:

Eagle Integrated Services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to provide comprehensive analytical and research support to the speechwriting team for the Director of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) located in Ft. Belvoir, VA Full time on site, some situational telework (inclement weather, etc.). The Business Research Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring that the Director’s speeches are well-researched, accurate, relevant, actionable, and persuasive. This position requires a deep understanding of DLA’s operations and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and compelling narratives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct thorough research on various topics related to DLA’s operations, policies, and initiatives.
  • Gather and analyze data from diverse sources, including internal DLA systems, government reports, industry publications, and other relevant materials.
  • Synthesize information into concise, accurate, and insightful summaries for use in speeches.
  • Content Development:
  • Collaborate with the speechwriting team to develop content outlines and drafts.
  • Provide well-organized research briefs and detailed background information to support speech themes and key messages.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with DLA’s strategic objectives.
  • Data Visualization:
  • Utilize data mining, data discovery, and analytics tools to interpret and present data effectively.
  • Develop charts, tables, graphs, and other visual aids to enhance the clarity and impact of speeches.
  • Ensure visual content is accurate and supports the narrative effectively.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with the DLA headquarters J-Code and D-Staff to coordinate research efforts.
  • Collaborate with various DLA departments and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and insights.
  • Communicate findings and insights clearly to the speechwriting team and other relevant parties.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of three years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience consulting, advising, and working with federal government customers.
  • Proven ability to secure a CAC and DLA systems access on the first day of work.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Advanced knowledge of data analysis, research methodologies, and statistical techniques.
  • Proficiency in data mining, predictive modeling, simulation, and data visualization tools.
  • Strong strategic planning, performance management, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Clearance Requirement

  • The candidate must possess a current Secret clearance and be able to maintain it throughout employment.
