Chenega Services & Federal Solutions, LLC a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Business Analyst to support the U.S. Department of Education, Federal Student Aid (FSA) program in the modernization of IT Service Management and Cyber Security Operations. The Business Analyst will be a member of one or more agile teams tasked with delivering a scalable, ServiceNow Platform environment that in its entirety will make up the Cyber Security Division IT Service Management system. The Business Analyst shall assist all aspects of FSA ECG’s ServiceNow implementation including planning, requirements development, status reporting, end user training and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing requirements written as user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Participate agile team(s) in backlog grooming and story refinement including sizing!
  • Conduct requirements and workflow mapping sessions and produce finished workflow documents and diagrams that developers can understand and implement.
  • Write test plans and scripts including automated test scripts using Gherkin syntax.
  • Run meetings, take and disseminate notes including action items.
  • Engage FSA program leadership and external partners including those in Institutes of Higher Education to gather and document requirements.
  • Demonstrate user centered design expertise including empathy maps, customer journeys and persona development.
  • Coordinate and communicate with contractors.
  • Maintain project Schedules, Sprint and Program Boards

Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of proficient experience working as a ServiceNow Business Analyst
  • 3 or more years of proficient experience in ServiceNow using SAFE Methodology
  • 3 or more years of proficiently using ServiceNow Portfolio Management (SPM)
  • Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism through written and verbal communication when presenting products and briefs to senior level management.
  • Have ability to interpret business objectives and successfully incorporate those objectives into functional requirements.
  • Demonstrate expertise in MS Office products including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project.
  • Public Trust 6C Government Security Clearance
  • Be detail-oriented with a keen focus on quality and continuous improvement.
