Business Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

The Global Operations Enablement Business Analyst will engage directly with business stakeholders across all regions to gather, assess, identify impact to business, recommend process improvements and drive technology and solutions related to product delivery and creating effective tools. You will drive product changes, process improvements, and coordinate efforts among cross-functional teams for overall business changes for Data Center personnel.
You will be supporting establishing standards, processes, and policies for improving our service to customers. The role will also entail defining global requirements, design & analyze solutions and manage projects from inception to completion. To do this successfully, you will work closely with data center Operations Personnel, Subject Matter Experts, Product Managers, and other cross-functional teams to understand and refine business needs and IT development requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in a related technical field combined with experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently across multiple projects, and to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Suite
  • Detail and project-oriented with a focus on quality and commitment to the task at hand
  • Ability to communicate easily with a diverse group of people
  • Excellent organization & time management skills with strong attention to detail being able to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical skills to work with complex business problems and systems challenges
  • Strong communication skills, ability to communicate effectively to large groups
  • Reliability, diligence, and excellent organization skills with a passion for improving processes and influencing cross functional and globally dispersed teams
  • Ability to present effectively to executive leadership and articulate business decisions clearly
  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems including JARVIS, Siebel, and Maximo preferred with a familiarity of Agile and Lean concepts
  • Ability to travel as needed globally

Responsibilities:

  • Determines and applies appropriate methodologies and tools for analyzing a range of functional and/or cross-functional issues (sometimes complex or with a high level of ambiguity)
  • Development and implementation of an effective and comprehensive communication strategy for ensuring key stakeholders are fully informed of new product deployments, enhancements, and post rollout support resource availability
  • Collaboration with regional counterparts to collectively align on a globally consistent support structure as well as analyze, define, and identify operational efficiency improvement opportunities within and across functional areas that impact or could potentially impact any part of the business
  • Provide content as needed for monthly Subject Matter Expert (SME) call improvement opportunities related to process & policy updates
  • Status reporting providing periodic project updates, highlighting risks, issues, and concerns
  • Participate in cross functional discussions to drive issues, challenges, and prioritization efforts including Product, BSA, & Dev team members
  • Identifies process gaps and issues, assesses impact of manual workarounds
  • Communicates team progress, identifies and manages risks and issues
  • Creates and coordinates smaller project plans and resources, executing them using appropriate tools and techniques via scope, project charter and stakeholder analysis
  • Works with stakeholders to gain business requirement alignment through implementation and post-implementation stages utilizing team resources
  • Analyzes pre and post implementation results, assess post project benefits & success metrics
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing including execution & analysis, test case design, resource allocation, and progress updates
