WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • University degrees in Accounting/Finance or engineering will be considered
  • 3+ years of experience in a finance, business analyst role
  • [OR] 4+ years of experience, ideally with 2+ years of experience in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a similar function at a high-growth technology company.
  • Comfortable working with autonomy and ownership in a fast-paced environment, taking initiative to resolve issues
  • Experience working with BI tools such as Lightdash, Looker, Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience with excel and SQL
  • Knowledge of Python would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – written, verbal, and graphic

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Neo Financial is looking for a full-time Business Analyst to join our finance team in Calgary, AB. With a focus on strategic growth, we are looking for an individual to support reporting on enterprise wide performance and empower the finance team with data driven insights to drive key business decisions.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Support in the development, rollout and maintenance of enterprise wide KPI reporting, including the development of BI dashboards and weekly reporting
  • Own monthly budget to actual variance analyses to identify and explain key forecast variances. Work with internal teams to identify root causes of these variances and develop solutions to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Own the delivery of monthly reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders, while ensuring high levels of data integrity and quality
  • Provide support on ad hoc requests for descriptive and diagnostic analysis in a high paced environment
