Work Schedule: Monday-Friday with flexible working hours between 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. ET

POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the project team by producing analytics and resulting synthesis to inform the project team’s advisement to a variety of stakeholders to best leverage the strategic vision of the organization. Analytics include, but not limited to, needs assessments, financial modeling, market analysis, project health analysis, and program analysis.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Understanding of modern data management principles and the architectures that support them.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to perform cost-benefit analysis (CBA), expected monetary value (EMV), earned value (EV), and quality assurance (QA) reports.
• Demonstrated knowledge of data visualization tools, project process mapping, etc.
• An ability to effectively communicate with the project team and staff in business and technology using the appropriate language.
• Strategic and tactical problem-solving skills.
• Top-down thinker, quick learner, and driven.
• Ability to lead in ambiguous situations and actively seeks to collaborate.
• Takes initiative, works independently when needed, and eager to learn new skills and approaches.
• Financial and Technology business domain knowledge.

EXPERIENCE

• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role
• 3-5 years of experience with project management software and BI software such as Microsoft project, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
• Experience in the financial technology industry a plus.
• Experience working within the framework of a hybrid project environment (Agile and Waterfall) a plus.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business, or similar field
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Leverage business intelligence methodologies and tools using internal and external research data to deliver actionable insights for business leaders and Project Manager.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and team to ensure project milestones are met, and effectively support the project by performing data collection and analysis specific to every project.
• Actively engage and collaborate with stakeholders to support the project team in critical thinking, project development, and recommendation.
• Strengthen the company’s research and development efforts by identifying new analytical tools, creating models, and performing other duties as assigned with the effort and skills necessary to contribute to growth.
• Prepare reports – including, but not limited to, variance reports, status reports, project health reports – for use by management and executive leadership.
• Perform cost-benefit analysis (CBA), expected monetary value (EMV), earned value (EV), and quality assurance (QA) reports for related initiatives and projects.
• Prepare dashboards in project management software.
• Effectively explore large and/or complex data sources; visualize the data journey towards delivering a solution.
• Conduct requirement elicitation and confirms elicitation results to guard against scope creep.
• Liaison between project team and systems (IT) departments for budget segmentation.
• Provide scenario analysis, prepare use-cases, and assist in creating requirements documentation to support project initiatives.
