ABOUT THE ROLE:

GFT is looking for a professional Business Analyst to facilitate the transformation of our business requirements into epics and user stories. The professional must have a good understanding of the software development life cycle using the Agile approach to facilitate fluid and effective work with the Scrum Team. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills. A DAY IN THIS ROLE:

• Maintains a solid knowledge base of the functional capabilities, simplifies and streamlines what was once a cumbersome, disjointed collection process by automatically incorporating data gathered across multiple channels and is a Subject Matter Expert on the various areas within the application.
• Assists the Product Owner in leading, directing, and reviewing all activities associated with delivering technology products.
• Interfaces with the Product Owner to define and document requirements for the product.
• Assists the Scrum Master and Project Manager with status reporting as required by executive leadership.
• Manages the product backlog with the Product Owner and different leaders to prioritize requirements, as well as define/manage the scope and sprints for the project.
• Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders, be they customers, the project team, or end users.
• Conducts interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
• Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
• Works with the development team and QA resources to develop and execute test plans, test scripts and all other deliverables and activities related to quality assurance.
• Creates documentation including requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, feature descriptions, user guides, process flows, training materials, FAQ’s, wireframes, etc.
• Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
• Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to Project Manager, Scrum Master, Product Owner, Sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
• Works with the Product Owner and clients to plan and execute user acceptance testing.
• Responds proactively to both business and project issues and escalates appropriately.
• Responsible for product quality, project timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
