What will you do as a Business Analyst?

As a Business Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial integrity and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • End-to-End Financial Close: Delivering and executing period-end close activities while coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure accounting information is complete, accurate, and timely.
  • Business Support: Assisting the Business Control team of the Customer Services & Logistics departments to improve business processes. This will help gather valuable insights from BI systems like Analysis for Office, SAP Analytics Cloud, and PowerBI to guide and challenge the organization.
  • Accounting Clarity: Providing clear guidance on local accounting matters to internal stakeholders and our financial shared services center, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial figures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Leading the delivery and implementation of continuous improvements across processes, tools, templates, and systems in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Balance Sheet Analysis: Conducting analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts related to Returnable Packaging Materials (RPM).
  • Collaboration & Communication: Engaging extensively with various stakeholders, including business control, our financial shared services center, and external auditors.

Your work field:
As one of four Business Analysts within Heineken Netherlands Supply, you will be part of the Customer Service & Logistics team (4 FTE). The position is based in Leiden, with the flexibility to work from home or other Heineken locations.

  • Education: University degree, preferably in finance, economics, or accounting (e.g., Master’s in Accounting and/or Finance). We’re also open to other analytical academic backgrounds.

  • Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Tech Savvy: Ability to help build a data-driven business.
  • Tools: Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and Business Intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI).
  • Experience: Relevant working experience in Financial/Business Control, Business Analysis, and/or Accounting.
