JOB SUMMARY:
As part of a broader technology replacement initiative, we’re updating various software components tied to multiple existing systems. This solution includes numerous interfaces between different OT and IT applications, some of which are also being replaced. Maintaining these interfaces is crucial for ensuring accuracy, quality, and safety.
To support these activities, Enbridge is seeking qualified personnel to augment the Enbridge teams in progressing towards a future state. A target date of Q3 2025 is set for the completion of any required implementation activities. This role involves working closely with various departments and stakeholders to understand and analyze business requirements, facilitating process improvements, and supporting project management activities to ensure business objectives are met.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in business analysis or a related role; experience in the midstream sector is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel) and project management software.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing business environments and manage multiple priorities.
COMPETENCIES:
In addition to the skills above, we are seeking individuals with competencies in the following areas
- Training and certifications on BA BOK
- Experience with Pre-project Business Analysis (Opportunity Evaluation) including Stakeholder Analysis, Requirements gathering and validation, setting solution evaluation criteria, Solution option analysis, solution recommendation, Business Case development
- Experience developing, or following, pre-project (Opportunity Evaluation) methodologies
- Experience assessing solutions against architectural guidelines/fit, buy vs build, local hosted vs cloud/SaaS
- Experience conducting market scans and evaluating requirements and solutions against market scans
- Available to meet in person in Edmonton locations as needed

Responsibilities:
- Conducting interviews, workshops, and surveys with the relevant stakeholders and users to elicit their needs, expectations, and pain points and providing a summary report.
- Documenting the current state and future state of the interface, including the data flows, business rules, use cases, and user stories and providing a current and future state document.
- Identifying the gaps, issues, and risks associated with the interface and proposing solutions and mitigation strategies.
- Validating the requirements with the stakeholders and users and obtaining their feedback and approval
- Creating a requirements traceability matrix to ensure the alignment of the requirements with the project objectives and scope.
- Preparing a requirements specification document that defines the functional and non-functional requirements for the interface.
- Performing environmental and market scans to identify potential solutions.
- Identify target architecture for potential solutions.
- Develop a business case for the recommended solution
