The IT Operations Business Analyst plays an important role in ensuring that IT Process and execution aligns with business objectives. This role focuses on analyzing process, identifying areas of improvement, provide key data to drive business decisions, and supporting various IT operations programs. This individual acts as a bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, and management, ensuring comprehensive communication and understanding of how IT Operations proactively supports changing business needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development lifecycle (SDLC), IT architecture, and business process analysis, with an understanding of alignment between long-term IT strategy and Business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current IT operational processes and data sources to identify inefficiencies, outdates technologies, or areas for improvement.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand and document their needs for IT operations support. This includes assessing how to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and the ability to deliver quality products.
  • Identify key data points to analyze and report on operational data to support decision-making. This includes tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), service-level agreements (SLAs), and other performance metrics.
  • Document new and existing processes, system configurations, and best practices for use by both technical teams and business users.
  • Develop regular reports, tracking the effectiveness of process execution, providing actionable insights to leadership - impact on business goals, performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Compile and issue regular reporting on technical debt, providing insights on debt reduction progress, prioritized areas of focus and challenges for debt remediation.
  • Collaborate with product owners, project manager and key stakeholders to understand roadmap prioritization and strategy.
