– Infrastructure Support for Carve-Out Projects
Department: IT Infrastructure and Transformation
Reports To: IT Project Manager / Program Lead
Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days in office per week)
Employment Type: 6-Month Contract

POSITION SUMMARY

A leading organization undergoing a major business transition is seeking a Business Analyst to support infrastructure carve-out projects. This role will work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) in IT infrastructure, focusing on Security, Mail, Active Directory (AD), ITSM, and other key systems. The Business Analyst will play a critical role in gathering requirements, producing technical documentation, and supporting the planning and execution of the carve-out strategy.

REQUIREMENTS GATHERING & ANALYSIS

  • Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to identify and document technical and business requirements for infrastructure carve-out projects.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of existing systems, dependencies, and integration points.
  • Ensure all requirements align with business goals and technical feasibility.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT infrastructure projects, especially carve-out or migration projects.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies (Mail systems, AD, security frameworks, ITSM).
  • Ability to create detailed technical specifications and documentation.
  • Familiarity with security principles, compliance, access controls, and data protection.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience in infrastructure carve-out or separation projects.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience using Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools for technical diagrams.
  • Awareness of ITIL frameworks and best practices.
